"This show is about transformation and what we don’t see behind the curtain. All of us metaphorically transform or wear a mask everyday before we present ourselves to the world. I found that drag performers do the same thing, but they transform themselves visually into another gender. What I thought was fascinating was the seriousness of them getting ready for a show. Backstage was very quiet and serious as they started putting on makeup, but once the transformation started, They became more gregarious and powerful as the journey of transformation was completed. I decided not to show the actual performances because anyone can see drag performers nowadays doing their shows. I chose to show the intimate moments"
